Central Hub Charity Day£1700 raised but still waiting on sheepys player payments etc. But that what was banked so far. (well £4 short we made it up) One cheque for £95 was made direct to Cry so we sent that which we could not bank in our total.

We had a total of 486 raffle tickets unused back out of 2000. Their would be more that never got handed back so not bad for an afternoons work. But the lads were all suffering for the following week with aches pains and various man flu type ailments! A result in all aspects raised funds, weather and the score.

All went well and all said they had enjoyed the day. So thanks to all that supported and all that came on the day, donated before or after and helped. Oh and those that played!

We ran a charity football match on Sunday 26th June 2011 to raise money for CRY in memory of Matt Gadsby. As a company we are supporting this charity for the year in the hope that eventually after all our events we will be able to hold a screening day.

We raised a total of around £1700 on Sunday, with our Central Hub Logistics team winning against ‘Sheepy Old Boys’ - but only a penalty shoot-out following a 1-1 draw.

The event carried on after the match with a Fun Day at the Old Crown pub in Wiggington. The event culminated in a BBQ, cake stall, side stalls and bouncy castle - all helped by the fantastic weather. Everyone said it was a fantastic day and can’t wait for the next, which we are planning as a race night.

Further fund-raising is being done by our local sports academy school who are running a no school uniform day for us; together with a parachute jump. As we are a logistics company our fuel card incentive system points are also being transferred into cash that is also being donated to CRY.
